The Rita Deanin Abbey Art Museum is proud to present:
Desert Opus – Summer of Schubert Concert on Saturday, July 12th from 2-4pm.
This incredibly talented string quintet will be treating us to a special, matinee performance with a can’t-miss program featuring the music of Franz Schubert and a special presentation by musicologist Heather Buffington-Anderson. Desert Opus includes the talents of Violist Arturo Hernández Gómez, Violinists James Anderson and Deborah Kim Cellist as well as Cellists Kimberley Kistler and David Warner.
Schubert’s music bridges the late Classical and early Romantic periods, and is known for lyrical melodies, expressive harmonies, and innovative modulations. Schubert was a prolific composer, writing extensively in various genres, symphonies, chamber music, and more. His music often features a sense of passion reflecting the emotional landscape of the Romantic era.
