Guidelines

When You Arrive

Why we don't touch artwork?

Invisible traces left behind by the brushing of fingers along the leg of a bronze sculpture or over the brushstrokes of a painting could damage the art. The tips of our fingers carry sweat, oils, and acids, all of which can transfer to an artwork.

You are welcome to take personal photographs or videos of Rita Deanin Abbey Art Museum’s permanent collection.
Please, no flash, tripods, or selfie sticks.

Accessibility
Strollers are welcome. We encourage children of all ages to visit, however, they must be accompanied by adults.

The Rita Deanin Abbey Art Museum understands our visitors have various needs and abilities. We offer several services to assure the accessibility of our museum and its collections. We strive to be available to all visitors.
All entrances and public areas of the museum are wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair-accessible restrooms are located off the main lobby.
Please review our visitor guidelines outlined below prior to your visit. By visiting in person, you agree to abide by these policies, and the Rita Deanin Abbey Art Museum reserves the right to ask visitors who do not follow these guidelines to leave the Museum’s premises.

Health and Safety
The health and safety of all is our priority. The Museum will continue to monitor and abide by guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Nevada, and Las Vegas for health and safety procedures that inform our operations.

Masks
Nevada is aligning its COVID-19 masking guidance to reflect the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) updated suggestions.
The CDC now recommends that individuals should wear masks while in public indoor settings located in “areas of substantial or high community transmission,” even if they’re fully vaccinated. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public space where people are present. We cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed to COVID-19 during your visit. Those visiting the Rita Deanin Art Museum do so at their own risk of such exposure.

Animals
We welcome guests and their service animals as authorized by applicable law. Non-service comfort animals are neither permitted nor pets of any species or breed.
